About Orienteering USA
Orienteering USA is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to promoting the sport of orienteering in the United States. As the national governing body, Orienteering USA oversees all orienteering activities and is a member of the International Orienteering Federation. With a mission to increase participation in orienteering, teach map reading and navigation skills, and foster a love for the environment, Orienteering USA offers a range of resources, training programs, and coaching opportunities.
They also organize events, such as permanent and DIY courses, and maintain an events calendar, rankings, and results. Orienteering USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with a board of directors and various committees ensuring the effective functioning of the association.
