About Original Penguin EU
Welcome to Original Penguin®. Our brand has a rich heritage and an original story that began in 1955. It all started with Abbot Pederson, who bought a stuffed penguin named Pete as a drinking buddy during a delayed flight.
After a few cocktails, the head of Pete accidentally came off, but a stewardess suggested that it would look good on a shirt. And so, Pete the Penguin became the iconic embroidered logo on our shirts. Since then, Original Penguin has become a symbol of American culture and fun.
