Origin by Ocean is a platform-based algae refining company founded in 2019 and located in Ekenäs, Finland. Our mission is to tackle planetary problems by transforming marine overgrowth into ecological, healthy, and oil-free ingredients for everyday consumer products. We believe that in order to bring about massive change, we need to turn it into an industry, and that's exactly what we're doing.

With the right process, we remove invasive algae and nutrients from the oceans, reducing marine pollution and eutrophication. Our products are based on bio-based chemicals, eradicating hazardous substances and setting a new standard for pollution and waste releases, as well as health and safety in the chemical industry. By growing biodiverse seaweed forests, we improve the health of marine ecosystems and contribute to the UN Agenda 2030, focusing on Sustainable Development Goals such as good health and well-being, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, and partnerships for the goals.
