Orillia Channel Cats

Orillia Channel Cats (CATS) is a competitive swimming club based in Orillia, Ontario, and an affiliated member of Swim Ontario. The club offers instruction for swimmers of all ages who have already developed basic swimming technique, guiding them from their first competitive experiences toward advanced training. Its progressive pathway includes Channel Kittens, Junior Novice, Senior Novice, Bronze, Silver and Gold, with programs focused on building technique, endurance, race skills and competitive experience.

The Channel Cats aim to create a positive, supportive environment where swimmers can grow in confidence, challenge themselves and develop as teammates. The club emphasizes commitment, goal-setting and personal development alongside performance in the pool. New swimmers can attend a Try Us Out session, where coaches assess their swimming and help identify an appropriate starting group.

For swimmers and families, the club provides practice schedules, meet and event information, account and registration access, and club news. With roots in Orillia’s swimming tradition, the Channel Cats offer athletes a place to learn, compete and represent their community.
