About Oriole Park Baseball
Oriole Park Baseball Association (OPBA) is a community-based youth baseball and softball organization serving families in Chicago’s Oriole Park neighborhood. The association describes its program as the largest baseball and softball program in the city and offers seasonal leagues for children ages 3 to 14, from coed T-ball and introductory play through age-based girls’ and boys’ divisions. Its season typically runs from late April into July, including playoffs, with registration, player evaluations, team formation, games, and community events such as picture day and a picnic.
OPBA also provides free winter baseball and softball skills clinics for children in kindergarten through sixth grade, led by association volunteers. Additional resources include seasonal calendars, equipment and bat guidelines, weather-related game updates, and field-use information. Families can participate in a raffle-ticket program intended to help offset registration costs, while local businesses and community members can support the organization through sponsorships. Registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, OPBA relies on volunteers, families, and sponsors to deliver youth sports opportunities and create positive experiences for neighborhood players.
