Oritsu Martial Arts is a family-run martial arts school serving Wrenthorpe and Outwood, with classes also held at Wakefield Girls High School Church Hall. Led by the Queen family, the club welcomes students of different backgrounds, abilities and experience levels. Its approach focuses on helping each person grow both in and out of class, building respect, confidence, teamwork and goal-setting skills in a fun, supportive environment.
The programme includes Little Ninjas for ages 5–7, Junior Dragons for ages 7–12, and Teen & Adult classes for students aged 13 and over. Oritsu also offers Junior Kickboxing for ages 8–15 and Adult Kickboxing for ages 16 and over. Classes introduce martial arts skills and self-defence while encouraging fitness and lasting friendships. The school is staffed by a chief instructor and owner, a deputy chief instructor and operations manager, senior instructors and a junior instructor. Prospective students can book a free trial lesson to explore the classes and meet the team.
