WHO WE ARE Orkeeswa is a social impact organization driven by the belief that education is the foundation for community-led development. WHAT WE DO Through accessible, high-quality, community-based education and leadership development, Orkeeswa cultivates thoughtful decision-makers and creative problem-solvers prepared to achieve their own vision for impact. HOW WE DO IT Using the community as a classroom, we invest in student-centered, skills-based learning for young people at three critical points: - Orkeeswa School provides high-quality academics, robust co-curricular programs, student wellness services, and community-based leadership through a holistic secondary school experience; - Orkeeswa Outreach utilizes trained and motivated Orkeeswa student and alumni leaders to run holistic programming in local primary schools; - Orkeeswa Incubator supports the ongoing impact of alumni through professional development, higher education scholarships, and small grants and mentorship for entrepreneurs.

About Orkeeswa
Orkeeswa is a brand dedicated to youth-driven, community-led development through accessible and high-quality education. They understand that communities worldwide face systemic challenges such as economic inequality, gender discrimination, and environmental degradation. In the rural Maasai community in Tanzania, these challenges are even more pronounced due to unique social and cultural circumstances and a severe lack of basic resources.
Orkeeswa addresses these complex and interconnected challenges by cultivating young leaders through comprehensive education and leadership development. They provide student-centered, skills-based learning at three critical stages: Orkeeswa Outreach empowers Orkeeswa student and alumni leaders to run holistic programs in local primary schools.
