Orkney Ferries is a vital maritime service that has been connecting the Orkney Islands since its founding by Captain George Robertson in 1864. Originally starting with the wooden steamer Orcadia, the company has since evolved into a key provider of organized and scheduled passenger and cargo shipping services across 13 island destinations. Founded as the Orkney Steam Navigation Company in 1868, Orkney Ferries has grown to a fleet of 10 vessels, including the MV Earl Sigurd and MV Earl Thorfinn.
