日本鳥学会

The Ornithological Society of Japan is a professional society dedicated to the study of birds. Its official website shares information about the organization’s activities, governance, committees, and initiatives, alongside resources for members, researchers, and the wider public. The society publishes the Japanese Journal of Ornithology and the English-language journal Ornithological Science, as well as the Checklist of Japanese Birds and the Bird Studies Newsletter. Its resources also include an ornithological terminology glossary and materials introducing the field.

The society organizes annual meetings and other events, and offers awards, scholarships, and grants that support research, symposiums, and participation in international ornithological conferences. Through its bird protection committee, it publishes statements and requests concerning conservation and environmental issues. Visitors can find notices, research and laboratory links, volunteer opportunities, and information on joining, donations, and membership services. The website also provides access to journal content, past meeting information, and society communications, helping connect people interested in ornithology and support the exchange of knowledge about birds in Japan and beyond.
