Ornithology Exchange is an online community for ornithologists and others interested in bird research and conservation. Operated by the Ornithological Council, the platform connects members around the world and provides a shared space to exchange knowledge, find professional opportunities, and access resources. Its forums support discussion of research methods, fieldwork, teaching, and current questions in ornithology. Members can also browse articles and news covering policy developments, research guidance, permitting, and issues affecting birds and wildlife research.

The site offers a job board featuring seasonal field positions, research assistantships, and internships, alongside funding resources that include a funding portal and a grants and awards database. Additional resources include journal listings, links to organizations, events, books, and other materials relevant to the field. The Ornithological Council also shares practical guidance and updates, such as research policy templates and information on bird protection and responsible bird feeding. With forums, groups, member activity, and regularly posted opportunities, Ornithology Exchange serves as a professional networking and information hub for the ornithological community.
