Orono Youth Hockey

Orono Youth Hockey Association (OYHA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving young hockey players in Orono and nearby Minnesota communities. Home to the Spartans and Warriors, the association hosts more than 550 players each season, with programs ranging from Mini Mites through Junior Gold. Its mission is to support player growth and development in a fun, fair, and safe environment, emphasizing participation and skill-building at every level alongside sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-confidence.

OYHA offers a range of youth hockey programs, including Spartan Mites, Warrior 8U, travel teams, Junior Gold, high school hockey, and goalie programming. Teams are organized across age groups and competitive levels, with schedules and game information available through the association. The organization also provides resources for players, parents, coaches, and team managers, covering topics such as conduct, locker-room policies, evaluations, Safe Sport, training, uniforms, volunteer opportunities, and financial assistance. Through its programs and practical support, OYHA helps families and coaches participate in a community-based youth hockey experience.
