ORWEJA

ORWEJA (Organisatie Wedstrijdwezen Jachthonden) is a Dutch organization established in 1999 by the Jagersvereniging and the Raad van Beheer, continuing a partnership that began in 1972. It coordinates and develops competitions for hunting dogs, supporting higher standards in canine work through training, knowledgeable handlers, expert judges, and clear rules. Its work is carried out with contributions from volunteers and specialist committees.

ORWEJA provides regulations, certification information, calendars, entry resources, results, and guidance for handlers, judges, and event organizers. Its activities span hunting-dog tests, field trials, working tests, spaniel working tests, and events for different breeds and disciplines. The organization also publishes selection procedures and information for national and international championships, including Nimrod and retriever competitions. Users can consult judge resources, downloadable documents, handbooks, and the MyORWEJA service, as well as find event schedules and competition results. Through its administrative and technical work, ORWEJA helps organize the Dutch hunting-dog competition landscape and supports the continued development of its events, standards, and participants.
