The Osaka Volunteer Association is Japan's first citizen activity center where volunteers and staff work together to advance projects. With over 100 volunteers and a few staff members, the association supports citizen activities such as volunteering, non-profit organizations, and corporate citizen activities. Their mission is to create a society in which citizens take the lead in social development through volunteer and citizen activities.

The association provides a wide range of services, including volunteer coordination, citizen learning, NPO operation support, community activity space, disaster support, corporate citizen activity promotion, and information provision. They aim to promote social innovation to solve social issues and establish a citizen-led, fair, and diverse society. The association revolves around seven core elements, including encouraging citizen participation, fostering networks, and developing financial support and public relations.
