About OSATA
The Oregon State Amateur Trapshooting Association (OSATA) is the statewide organization dedicated to promoting and supporting Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) registered trapshooting in Oregon. Working with host clubs, it plans, administers, and promotes the annual Oregon State ATA Trapshooting Championships. The four-day State Shoot features nine ATA events, including Singles, Handicap, Doubles, class and championship competitions, and a Zone Team Championship decided through qualifying at the 200-target Singles event.
OSATA supports registered shooting across three geographic zones and provides information to help participants find local clubs, follow shoot schedules, and review results and scores through SOS Clays. Its club directory includes 24 Oregon clubs listed in ATA or SOS Clays registries. The association also recognizes competitors and contributors through Oregon state teams, All-American listings, Swearingen All-Star awards, and the Oregon State Amateur Trapshooting Hall of Fame, housed at Medford Gun Club. The Hall honors shooters, builders, and supporters, with inductees dating from 1991. OSATA shares information about its board, bylaws, meetings, host-club bids, and championship arrangements.
