OSDeC MAMPU

OSDeC, the Open Source System Development and Capability Development Programme, is a public-sector initiative focused on strengthening expertise in open-source software and building the capabilities of government ICT officers. Its work supports the development of public-sector systems and services, with an emphasis on improving application development through collaboration and automation.

Through its DevOps programme, OSDeC helps public agencies adopt a structured approach to developing applications. Its resources include the Public Sector DevOps Framework, implementation guidelines, and information on supporting tools and infrastructure. The programme also offers coaching to support agencies as they put DevOps practices into operation.

OSDeC’s activities bring together project teams and representatives from selected agencies to develop practical frameworks and guidance. These include workshops on DevOps implementation and change management, as well as awareness seminars for participants from ministries and public-sector agencies. By combining guidance, training, infrastructure information, and coaching, OSDeC aims to build public-sector capability and encourage more collaborative, automated approaches to application development.
