About OSDG Assess SDG relevance of any text or PDF
OSDG. ai is an open-source initiative that aims to assign Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) labels to text content and PDF documents. By integrating existing research and avoiding duplication of efforts, OSDG provides a comprehensive and user-friendly approach to classifying research according to SDGs.
It is a partnership between PPMI, UNDP SDG AI Lab, and a community of researchers led by Dr. Nuria Bautista Puig. OSDG 2.
0, the latest iteration of the project, marks a significant improvement in the OSDG framework. It employs machine learning models trained on data collected via the OSDG Community Platform and uses an ontology/keyword map to verify initial labels. Both the ML and ontology approaches must be in agreement to assign SDG labels.
The OSDG team also offers free API access for scholars conducting research that benefits from content classification to SDGs. To maintain transparency, OSDG provides references and inspiration from various data sources, which are accessible through their GitHub repository.
