Oslo Global Choir

Oslo Global Choir is an international mixed amateur choir based in central Oslo, bringing adults and students together through singing, culture and community. Founded in 2013 as Cafeteatret World Choir, it welcomes people of all backgrounds and experience who are committed to learning and enjoy making music together. The choir’s varied repertoire includes pop, rock, French chanson, Norwegian and Sámi music, and songs from musical traditions around the world. Its performances celebrate diversity and the shared power of voices, with concerts and musical collaborations offering memorable experiences for members and audiences.

Oslo Global Choir rehearses on Mondays from 18:30 to 20:30 at Sentralen, where members develop their repertoire and prepare for performances. The choir also provides opportunities for vocal training and spin-off musical groups. Led by conductor Roosa Punkari, a specialist in rhythmic choral music and improvisation, the group fosters creativity in a welcoming, social setting. Prospective members can contact the choir to learn about joining and semester fees.
