Osoyoos Railroad is more than just a brand - it's a family's lifelong passion for trains brought to fruition. Poul and Ulla Pedersen, together with their daughter Lotte and son-in-law Joe Mendes, have dedicated themselves to creating the Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad. Poul's childhood dream of having a train set inspired the family to start collecting Marklin trains.

As their collection grew, they became determined to bring their vision to life. Every house they built had a special room, spanning 2000 square feet, dedicated solely to the train set. Ulla played a crucial role in this ambitious endeavor, especially as she battled with rheumatic arthritis.

Assembling over 2000 different models, she found solace and distraction from her pain. Despite multiple moves, including to Spain and eventually Canada in the early eighties, the family never gave up on their dream. Their dedication and hard work transformed their model railroad into a breathtaking piece of Europe in miniature.

With no master plan, their creative process revolves around working around the tracks. The family constantly upgrades and improves various sections, incorporating new products into their ever-evolving landscape. Son-in-law Joe has joined the team, ensuring the smooth operation of the trains and the computers.
