Osservatorio Astronomico "Copernico Aps"

The Copernico Astronomical Observatory is operated by Gruppo Astrofili Copernico APS, a social promotion association active in its local community since 1978. Dedicated to astronomy and amateur stargazing, the association welcomes members to visit its observatory throughout the year. It is open every Saturday evening, with access available to registered members; annual membership includes insurance and also allows participation in organised events. Registration and payment can be completed online, with assistance available at the observatory for those who need it.

The association also offers astronomy education for enthusiasts and aspiring amateur astronomers. Its announced 2026 introductory course is free to attend for association members and covers topics including the universe, galaxies, stars, planets, celestial coordinates, telescope use and observing techniques. Some sessions include outdoor activities focused on orientation, celestial motion and identifying constellations, using the association’s telescopes for demonstrations. Participants may also bring their own instruments. Through regular observatory evenings, events and learning opportunities, Copernico APS supports public engagement with astronomy and active amateur stargazing.
