Östanbrogården

Östanbrogården is a residential support and motivation service set on a rural farm with its own animals. It provides temporary accommodation and supportive, motivating interventions for adults aged 21 and over who face an urgent housing situation related to mental health concerns, substance-use problems or social difficulties. The service welcomes men, women and couples, and accepts placements from across Sweden, primarily through commissions from municipal social services, as well as in cooperation with other organisations. Placements can be arranged through framework agreements or direct referrals.

The farm offers a sober, drug-free environment with staff available around the clock and access to a psychiatric nurse. Support includes assessment using the ASI method, follow-up and motivational conversations, and documented alcohol and drug testing through saliva or urine analysis. Residents may take part in simple activities on the farm according to their abilities. Östanbrogården also offers individual or couple placements in separate small houses or apartments with self-catering; residents in these units may bring a pet.
