Osterbuhr Wiki is a family history project presenting the genealogical research of Karl Holger Osterbuhr. It documents the Osterbuhr and Osterbur families, tracing their roots to East Frisia in Germany and exploring the origins of their surnames, family branches, and migration to the United States. The site follows two ancestral lines associated with Strackholt and Wiesens, and shares family trees, historical records, biographies, and information about known descendants.

It also describes the experiences of Osterbuhr families who emigrated to America in the nineteenth century, including settlements in Illinois and Nebraska. A family crest, created by Karen Osterbuhr in 1985, and explanations of its symbols add personal and cultural context. The wiki is an evolving resource, with genealogical information being added over time.

To respect data protection rules, it omits personal details about living individuals; consequently, some family branches may appear incomplete. The project’s longer-term aim is to continue researching the ancestors of Osterbuhr and Osterbur families and build a broader family tree
