Österby Sportklubb is a community sports association based at Västerby Ski Centre in Ekenäs, Raseborg. Its website, “Skidning är kul” (“Skiing is fun”), reflects the club’s focus on making skiing accessible and enjoyable, particularly for children and young people. The club holds regular Tuesday training sessions in Västerby, with autumn activities including forest runs, relay games and walking with poles. Children from around six years old are welcome, and younger participants may join with a parent.

The club supports skiing through training, competition entries, ski passes and equipment information. Its event programme includes Österbyloppet, the Västerby long-distance race, Kanonstafetten, roller-ski competitions and children’s carousel skiing events. It also shares information about the Finland-Swedish Championships in skiing and biathlon, including schedules, courses, start lists, results and livestreams.
