About OstLicht
OstLicht is a premier Austrian gallery dedicated to the art of photography, founded by Peter Coeln, a passionate entrepreneur and photography expert. Established in 2012 in Vienna, OstLicht Gallery showcases a diverse array of photographic works, ranging from contemporary talents to historical masterpieces. With a spacious 400 m² exhibition area, the gallery hosts retrospectives and solo exhibitions by renowned photographers such as David LaChapelle and Nobuyoshi Araki, while also actively participating in major international art fairs.
In addition to its gallery, OstLicht operates the OstLicht Collection, boasting over 120,000 prints from the 19th century to the present, available for study by appointment. Furthermore, the gallery runs an influential auction house that has become a key player in the German-speaking market since 2009, offering vintage prints and iconic images.
