Otakuthon is Canada's largest bilingual anime convention that celebrates the cultural phenomenon of anime and manga. Held annually at the Palais des congrès in Montreal, Otakuthon offers a diverse range of activities for anime enthusiasts of all ages.

From video gaming to the popular Masquerade costume skit show, attendees can immerse themselves in a world of Japanese culture, both modern and traditional. Otakuthon also hosts special events like the AMV Contest, Otakuthon All-Stars, and the World Cosplay Summit, where winners from each country compete in Japan. In recognition of its efforts in promoting cultural exchange and friendly relations between Japan and Canada, Otakuthon received an honorable mention from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan in 2018.
