OTDS, the Organización de Trabajadores por un Desarrollo Sustentable, is a national trade union in Mexico that affiliates workers across industries, businesses, and types of economic activity. The organization aims to defend workers’ rights, improve working conditions, and support professional and personal development through representation, guidance, and follow-up on workplace concerns. Its services include life and personal accident insurance, funeral assistance, minor medical expense coverage, medical consultations and guidance, ambulance support, and healthcare discounts.
Members can also access payroll advances, pensions, savings funds, roadside and home assistance, pet services, and protection for cash-machine robbery. OTDS offers professional skills training, conflict mediation, and gym memberships, as well as discounts of 5% to 70% at more than 9,000 businesses nationwide. The union also provides a job board for members’ family members and promotes recruitment through partner companies.
