Its device restores ball pressure and helps preserve the felt, addressing the performance loss that often leads players to replace balls before they are physically worn out. It is designed to work with pressurised balls from any brand and supports both sports. Through a connected app, users specify their sport, ball type and playing surface; the system then manages the regeneration process.

Two modes are planned: a faster cycle and a quality-focused cycle intended to maximise playability. The company has also developed a tennis ball designed for repeated regeneration, while the device remains compatible with existing brands. Otennis reports that its first functional prototype is complete and that a second prototype is in development; final product validation is ongoing.

The venture is building its licensing and partnership model for the racket-sports industry, with potential benefits including fewer replacements, reduced waste and lower recurring costs for players and clubs
