OTEPIC, or the Organic Technology Extension and Promotion of Initiative Centre, is a dedicated community-based organization established in 2008 in Trans-Nzoia County, Kenya. Founded by Philip Odhiambo Munyasia, OTEPIC aims to empower subsistence farmers, particularly women and youth, through innovative knowledge-sharing and permaculture practices. The organization consists of a passionate team of 11 members and 50 volunteers who work tirelessly to improve food security, conserve nature, and promote biodiversity.
OTEPIC offers a variety of projects, including the Sabwani and Amani Gardens, which serve as hands-on training grounds for sustainable farming practices. Additionally, OTEPIC facilitates access to clean drinking water, organizes conferences and training sessions, and provides support to local orphanages and dance groups. Through its holistic approach, OTEPIC strives to create a self-sufficient and resilient community equipped with the tools and knowledge to thrive, fostering a blooming future filled with peace, clean energy, and sustainable resources.
