Offaly Traveller Movement (OTM) evolved from Tullamore Traveller Movement Ltd, which began in 1996 as a grassroots response to the needs of Travellers living in Tullamore and the surrounding area. Today OTM is a vibrant community development organisation employing 21 workers from both the Traveller and wider community, and offers Travellers living in County Offaly programmes in health promotion and mental health, accommodation, youth, education and enterprise.

Offaly Traveller Movement (OTM) is a Traveller-led community development organisation working to achieve full equality for the Traveller community in County Offaly, Ireland. It supports Irish Travellers, an indigenous minority ethnic group with distinct values, customs, traditions and culture, to reach their full potential and take part in initiatives addressing poverty, social exclusion, disadvantage and discrimination.
OTM provides programmes and services across health, mental health, accommodation, education, youth development, community development, and employment and training. Its health work includes primary health care, public health nursing, men’s health and wellbeing initiatives, alongside social work and counselling. Education and training offerings include community education, an inclusive education project and a local training initiative. The organisation also supports activities such as Men’s and Women’s Sheds, the Horse Project and St. Michael’s Athletic, its community-based soccer programme. Through these services and partnerships, OTM works to strengthen opportunities and wellbeing for Travellers in the county. The organisation is registered in Ireland as a company limited by guarantee and as a charity.
