Otterbad

Otterbad is a municipal indoor swimming pool in the Flecken Ottersberg, operated as part of Elektrizitäts-Werk Ottersberg. It welcomes local residents, families, schools, clubs and swimmers from the surrounding area, providing facilities for recreation, lessons and training. The pool offers a variable-depth pool for swimmers and non-swimmers, as well as a shallow pool for young children. Visitors can choose regular swimming or warmer bathing sessions, with published opening times, admission prices and water temperatures available through the facility.

Otterbad runs a broad programme of courses, including baby and toddler swimming, children’s swimming lessons, beginner courses leading to badges such as Seepferdchen and Bronze, and front-crawl instruction. Aquatic fitness is also available, including a course designed specifically for pregnant participants. The pool hosts training by the DLRG and TSV Ottersberg, and its supporting association works to preserve the facility for public use, school instruction and club activities. Otterbad also offers vocational training for prospective pool operations professionals, combining swimming, fitness, technical work and customer service.
