Oulun Diabetesyhdistys ry is a nonprofit association serving people with diabetes and their communities across Oulu and surrounding areas in Finland. It works with the Finnish Diabetes Association to help overcome diabetes, prevent and reduce its complications, protect the social interests of people with diabetes, and connect them with one another. The association shares information about diabetes and its care, and offers guidance and advice through its executive director. It also promotes peer support; however, it currently has no volunteer with formal peer-support training, and efforts to address this depend on available resources. The association’s activities are based on volunteer contributions.

Members can take part in the association’s activities and may subscribe to Diabetes magazine at a discounted rate. Membership costs €26 for 2026, and the magazine subscription is available to members for €18, compared with the standard price of €49. The association also operates an office and shop selling diabetes products, and provides information about events and services.
