Oulunsalon Metsästysyhdistys

Oulunsalon Metsästysyhdistys ry is a local hunting association serving the Oulunsalo area. It brings together people interested in hunting, wildlife management and responsible outdoor recreation, with an emphasis on safety, good hunting practices, community and sustainable use of game. The association provides opportunities to take part in waterfowl, small-game, big-game and predator hunting, subject to applicable permits, seasons and regulations. Waterfowl permits are available through its online permit shop, and the association shares information about hunting areas, dates and guidance. It also promotes shooting practice as part of safe and ethical hunting.

Wildlife management is an important part of the association’s work. Activities include volunteer work and practical efforts such as maintaining feeding stations and nesting boxes, providing mineral licks, and preparing nesting structures for waterfowl. Small-game permit holders are expected to contribute to wildlife management through volunteer work or agreed independent tasks. Working with landowners and local water-area associations, Oulunsalon Metsästysyhdistys supports responsible hunting and local hunting traditions.
