Oulun Seudun Perhokalastajat is an active fly-fishing club serving the Oulu region of Finland. Founded in 1993, it has around 250 members and is affiliated with the Finnish Federation for Recreational Fishing. The club brings anglers together to learn, share experiences and enjoy fishing at home and farther afield.
Regular Tuesday and Wednesday club evenings include fly tying, presentations and fishing stories. The club also organizes fly-tying courses for members and non-members, casting instruction, introductory activities and group fishing trips in nearby waters and neighboring countries. Members can make use of the club’s stocked pond and shared equipment, including two boats at Valkeinen in Utajärvi.
Competitive fly fishing is another part of the club’s activities, supported by an active competition section whose anglers have represented Finland at European and World Championships. The club also participates in the Northern Finland Outdoor Fair, offering a casting pool and indoor exhibition area. Its website shares event information, competition results, photographs, membership details and fishing updates.
