OurHouse is a Bulgarian community social services foundation established in September 2021. Based in Aksakovo, it works to improve access to support that reflects the individual needs of children, families and other people in vulnerable circumstances. Its mission focuses on social inclusion and access to quality education, healthcare and social services, with particular attention to children with disabilities and their families.
The foundation brings together social-sector professionals, volunteers, donors, families and partner organisations. Its team includes specialists such as an art therapist, mediators and a ceramic conservator. Through its services and activities, OurHouse offers a place for support, sharing and development. Its work with children includes art therapy, sensory activities and cooking workshops, alongside creative events such as children’s craft sessions. The organisation also provides information and resources for families, including guidance on the experiences and roles of parents raising a child with additional needs.
People can support OurHouse by volunteering, becoming a partner or sponsor, sharing information, or making a donation.
