Our Kindred is a family history and genealogy project bringing together the stories of the Taylor, Hallam, Robinson and Chadwick families, along with the many families connected through marriage and descent. The families’ roots span Britain, Ireland, Europe and India, with branches and journeys extending across India, Burma, Africa, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

The site shares family narratives, historical articles, photographs, documents, oral histories and research guides. Its Stories and Research section gathers family stories, blog posts, historical material and guidance on research methods. The Genealogy section offers access to a family tree and related information about people, families, places, sources and records. Public content includes accounts such as the story of Carina Robinson’s British Indian passport, issued in Calcutta shortly before Indian independence.

Registered family members can sign in to view restricted genealogy records and additional information. Our Kindred also welcomes corrections, identifications, family records, photographs and personal recollections to help expand and improve the collection.
