Our Stories Falkirk is a community heritage initiative that shares the history, culture and experiences of Falkirk and its surrounding area. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the National Lottery, the project brings local stories together in an accessible online collection. Visitors can explore material across themes including culture and tradition, industry, natural heritage, people and places, as well as browse a timeline, map and events.

The site features articles and creative work about the region, from the origins of Irn-Bru and local industrial development to wartime experiences, gardens and hidden places. It also presents community-focused projects, including oral histories recorded with residents at Falkirk’s Canal Encounters festival, and a digital showcase of artwork inspired by local heritage. Short stories and other contributions offer further perspectives on the area and its people. Through these resources, Our Stories Falkirk helps residents and visitors discover, learn about and engage with the heritage of the local community.
