Outback Guide Service offers guided black bear hunts in Bayfield County, northwestern Wisconsin, serving Zone A and Zone D. Based just outside Drummond on Highway 63, the service provides access to private and public hunting land and established bait sites developed through decades of experience. The guide’s work in bear hunting dates to 1984, with sites tailored for rifle, bow, and muzzleloader hunters.
Outback Guide Service emphasizes a personalized approach, matching hunters with stands suited to their preferences and expectations. Its aim is to help clients make the most of a hard-won Wisconsin bear tag, supported by careful preparation, practice, and patience. The site reports successful hunts in recent seasons, including several bears weighing more than 400 pounds.
Following the passing of guide Kevin Campbell in February, his wife Sara, also a licensed guide, is continuing service for hunters already booked and intends to carry the guiding business forward. The website also offers information about lodging, the team, past hunts, and ways to get in touch.
