Ovara Studios

Ovara Studios is a games studio focused on bringing dice and stories together, creating playful worlds where each roll can lead to a new adventure. Its featured game, Woodworms, invites players to gather the right kinds of wood, build furniture, and compete to win. The game also includes woodworm and poison mechanics: drawing a worm means discarding your wood and ending your turn, while poison can neutralize woodworms and protect your materials.

Ovara develops its games through an iterative process, starting with a story and game mechanic, then developing rules, testing gameplay, and designing card artwork. The studio has shared plans to present Woodworms at games fairs in the Netherlands and Belgium, use player feedback to finalise the game, and prepare a Kickstarter campaign. Its website features project updates, including playtest and games-fair news, and invites visitors to join a player waitlist or subscribe for updates. Ovara also welcomes conversations about game ideas and provides contact options through email and social media.
