Översta Gård is a Swedish family farm and breeding stud dedicated to trotting horses. Founded by Anders in 1975, the farm has grown from a family passion into a professional breeding operation. After spending many years in Italy developing their knowledge of training and horse care, the family returned in 2008 to continue its work. Today, Dan and Cathrine Hultberg run the stud, combining long-standing experience with modern breeding techniques and a strong focus on each horse’s welfare and development.
The farm operates an insemination station, welcoming mares for fresh, transported and frozen semen. It also provides boarding and daily care for broodmares during pregnancy and foaling, aiming to give mares and foals good conditions throughout. Översta Gård offers horses for sale and shares information about its foals and breeding programme. In 2026, four stallions are based at the farm: Flocki d’Aurci, Global Welcome, Brambling and Sauveur. The team welcomes visitors seeking a caring place for a breeding mare or a promising trotting horse.
