Ovillo is a self-guided writing workshop designed to help participants complete and revise an original short story in four weeks. Delivered through an app that works on a phone or computer, the program offers 28 days of activities, each taking about 15 to 20 minutes. Short lessons, timed writing prompts, classic readings, and guided opportunities to reread build into four connected stages: finding an image, developing a character and voice, shaping a central scene, and completing the story. The activities are designed to form one continuous creative process rather than a set of unrelated exercises.

The workshop includes nine complete readings, with some works translated by Ovillo, and an editor that saves writing to the participant’s account. New activities open one day at a time, but there are no deadlines, streaks, or live class schedules. Ovillo is not a feedback-based course: participants work independently, and their writing remains private. At the end, they can download their finished, revised story as a PDF, along with their other workshop texts.
