About Owatonna RC Modelers
Owatonna R/C Modelers is an AMA-chartered radio-control flying club serving Southern Minnesota from a location about one hour south of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The club welcomes people interested in model aviation and promotes the hobby as a family-oriented activity that should be safe and enjoyable.
Its mission is to share knowledge, teach others who want to take part, and provide a high-quality flying facility for R/C enthusiasts. The club’s website offers information on membership, officers, location, frequently asked questions, and useful links, as well as newsletters, meeting notes, and event updates. The flying site is Robert & Corinne Reul Memorial Field.
The club calendar publicizes activities, including the Frozen Finger Fly, and the website shares updates on AMA and FAA FRIA status. Owatonna R/C Modelers identifies itself as a 2026 Gold Leader Club and also maintains a Facebook and photo presence. Overall, it brings together a dedicated place to fly, opportunities to learn, and community resources for people who share an interest in radio-controlled aircraft
