About Oxygen For Democracy
Oxygono is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Cyprus. Established in 2014, their mission is to improve the policymaking process in Cyprus and beyond, making it more participatory, transparent, and evidence-based. Comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds, Oxygono is an independent organization governed by a five-member board, a ten-member executive committee, and several advisory bodies.
The organization itself does not express a specific viewpoint, as the ideas and visions of Oxygono go beyond any individual involved in its activities. Oxygono provides a platform for different perspectives to be heard. In addition to various projects related to enhancing democratic institutions, their main initiatives include the Cyprus Forum, the Cyprus Forum Cities, the Nomoplatform, and the Procedural Law Unit annual symposium.
