Bazalka is a civic association dedicated to supporting children with disabilities and serious health conditions, including cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy and Down syndrome. The organization helps families meet the considerable costs of care and treatment, using donated income-tax contributions and other support to fund practical assistance tailored to children’s needs.
Its support can cover operations abroad, post-operative rehabilitation, spa treatment and other overseas care, as well as dolphin therapy, hippotherapy, animal-assisted therapy and additional specialist therapies. Bazalka also helps with medicines, orthopedic and other special aids, orthopedic footwear, specialized food and increased living expenses. The association’s website introduces the children it supports and shares photographs and videos of its activities. These include summer day camps for children with disabilities, personal development and art-therapy courses, and stays at Otvorená náruč in Podkylava.
Individuals and companies can support Bazalka by assigning a portion of their income tax, and the association also acknowledges its sponsors.
