P7:1SMA, also known as PRISMA, is a dance performance company that combines traditional and contemporary practices. Our mission is to promote the relevance of culture across communities, challenging perspectives and sparking critical discourse through intimate and innovative performance experiences. The name P7:1SMA represents a prism, with the numbers 7:1 replacing the letters 'R' and 'I', symbolizing the optical element of a triangular prism and the reflection of light to evoke spectral colors.
Our philosophy revolves around the belief that dance is a strategy, while Malay culture is a concept. We aim to deepen knowledge, appreciation, and possibilities of dance through experiential programs. We also support research and creation, connecting dance and arts communities.
