Paardentandarts Peter Helthuis is a specialist equine dental practice based in Weerselo, Overijssel, founded by veterinarian and certified horse dentist Peter Helthuis. Working with team members Marion Meenhuis and Roy Ketel, the practice served horses across the Netherlands and in Germany, Belgium, Austria and Switzerland. Its work focused on equine dental health, which supports effective eating and digestion, and included examinations and routine dental care, tooth and molar extractions, trauma treatment, and care for EOTRH, a painful condition affecting the teeth of older horses.

Procedures were performed with attention to suitable restraint, sedation, lighting and examination equipment. The practice also offered training in equine dental care, covering anatomy, chewing biomechanics, dental disease and practical work with horses. Its clients and references included prominent riders and stables, among them Jeroen Dubbeldam and Stal Ehrens.

The website reports that Peter Helthuis is retiring, that the practice is no longer accepting new clients, and that its equine dental-care course has stopped in 2026. Practice instruments are offered for sale
