BCRE Africa, also known as PAAZAB-BCRE, is a network of African wildlife professionals working to advance animal welfare, conservation science and ethical stewardship. Through collaboration, research and education, it supports organizations and individuals seeking to protect biodiversity and strengthen wildlife care. Its services include specialized assessments of captive animal facilities, covering animal care and welfare, education programs, research and ethics.

Developed by professionals for institutions and governments, assessments are tailored to different facility types and objectives, informed by current scientific advances and the Five Domains Model. BCRE Africa also provides consultancy, guidelines, protocols, studbook management and specialized courses to build the skills of animal-care staff. Its conservation initiatives include projects focused on turtles and vultures, as well as work addressing the bush meat crisis.

The organization invites public support through donations and certified nature-friendly products, including its Roasted for Conservation coffee range; part of product sales helps fund conservation and skills-development programs
