Rekenen met Steven provides tutoring and exam preparation for students training to become primary school teachers in the Netherlands. Led by Steven Hopman, a mathematics educator with more than 25 years of experience, the service helps students prepare for the national knowledge-base mathematics test (LKT), the Reken-Wiskunde Toets (RWT/Wiscat), and individual pabo mathematics exams. Hopman has also contributed to the development of the LKT.

Training focuses on understanding mathematical concepts rather than memorising shortcuts. Through clear explanations, thoughtful questions, and positive feedback, students learn to solve problems independently and build confidence and enjoyment in mathematics. Courses are offered in small groups, with personal attention, and students can also request one-to-one support or a tailored RWT programme.
