Castelnuovo Rangone

Pubblica Assistenza Castelnuovo Rangone O.D.V. is a volunteer-run organisation based in Castelnuovo Rangone, in Italy’s province of Modena. Founded on 21 November 1994, it works to meet local social and healthcare needs and responds to territorial emergencies when called by the 118 emergency service. Its activities are supported by around 100 volunteers, and the organisation is registered with the regional volunteer register, listed among the Municipality of Castelnuovo Rangone’s associations, and affiliated with ANPAS, Italy’s national network of public assistance organisations.

The association provides transport for people receiving dialysis, inter-hospital transfers under agreement with the local health authority, and private social and healthcare transport. It also offers emergency and urgent response services in agreement with 118, assistance at sporting events and public gatherings, personal support, and socially useful hours. The organisation welcomes new active volunteers and supporting members, and accepts donations and 5×1000 contributions. Its website also shares news, events, and information about training, including first-aid and BLSD courses open to the public.
