About Pachaysana
Pachaysana is a unique and forward-thinking brand that is dedicated to fair and ethical projects and programming. Comprised of a collective of Ecuadorian and international educators, teaching artists, activist-academics, and community organizers, Pachaysana aims to reimagine education and community development through creative educational programming and intercultural exchange. They believe that education is not simply received but rather co-constructed through dialogue and exploration of conflicts among diverse voices.
Their methodologies include theater of the oppressed, popular education, decolonial education, and art for social change. Pachaysana offers various educational programs, such as semester-long study abroad, short-term study abroad, online workshops and webinars, and consultancies. They strive to be a bridge between local and global realities, theory and practice, and the university and the community.
