About PACHI Malawi
Parent and Child Health Initiative Trust (PACHI) is a Malawian nonprofit organization established in 2009 to improve the health of families in Malawi and beyond. It works with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders, focusing on maternal, newborn, child and family health. PACHI’s mission is to promote high-quality, sustainable and cost-effective care through evidence-based programs, capacity building and research. Its goal is to support evidence-informed decision-making, while its vision is to become a strong center for health research, innovation and research capacity development.
PACHI develops and supports health initiatives addressing service quality, community engagement, nutrition, vaccination, malaria, adolescent health and communication for development. Its work includes projects and evaluations related to maternal and child survival, healthcare delivery, social accountability and health-system resilience. The organization also conducts and shares research, including studies on clinical care, health-worker experiences and quality improvement. Through training, research and collaboration, PACHI seeks to strengthen health workers and systems and improve access to effective care.
