The brand's history dates back to 1988 when it was originally known as Kuki Airani Aronga Pakari Trust. It was founded by two women who recognized the need for homecare services for elderly Pacific Island people in the local Otara community. Over the years, the organization grew and evolved to cater to the diverse Pacific cultures, as well as individuals with disabilities, in the Counties Manukau region.
Pacific Homecare follows a sensitive cultural approach, respecting the specific cultural differences, requirements, and preferences of all their clients. They uphold the principles of protection, partnership, and participation as outlined in the Treaty of Waitangi, ensuring a holistic approach to health and well-being. Pacific Homecare is owned and governed by the Pacific Islands Home Care Services Trust board, and their team consists of nearly 200 dedicated staff members who serve a client base of over 600 individuals.
